Find me on:

Best known for his role as Jim Halbert on the NBC sitcom The Office and his appearance in the hit movie The Quiet Place, actor John Krasinski has launched a new YouTube channel to spread good news during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Launched Sunday, March 29, Krasinski's YouTube series called "Some Good News" (SGN) focuses on bringing people cheerful content as a break from all the bad news surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. The idea originated when the actor tweeted out to his followers asking them to share feel-good stories.

After his initial post received more than 21,000 likes and 3,000 comments, Krasinski decided that people were desperately in need of some happiness. In response, SGN was born.

“After reading those replies and the incredibly heartwarming stories that came with them, I thought, ‘All right, enough is enough, world. Why not us? Why not now?,’” said Krasinski on his new show. “So ladies and gentlemen, this is your fault. And this is SGN.
Without question, we are all going through an incredibly trying time, but through all the anxiety, all the confusion, all the isolation and all the ‘Tiger King,’ somehow the human spirit found a way to break through and blow us all away.”

So, if you're in need of some happiness, visit the Some Good News Network to hear some happy news from across the world.

For those of you that loved Episode 1 from SGN, we have more good news! He already launched Episode 2. Enjoy!
