When it comes to promoting your brand, there is no better way than using promotional products. If done right, promotional products can speak volumes about your brand without you having to say a word.

Promotional products have been used as a cost-effective marketing tool for years by both large and small companies. In fact, they can be one of the most creative, and low-cost, methods to engage with current and new customers and encourage them to be a part of your brand. And for smaller businesses, promotional products can help keep marketing costs down while still drawing people's attention.

Here are five reasons why promotional products are crucial for your business:

First Financial Bank, DeanHouston Donate PPE to FreeStore FoodBank

Posted by Eric Hirth on May 29, 2020 2:56:32 PM

DeanHouston recently donated 250 face masks and 70 face shields to the FreeStore FoodBank in Cincinnati, OH, on behalf of our client First Financial Bank. As part of our PPE production program, for every 10 masks or shields DeanHouston produces, one will be donated to medical or community caregivers or the nonprofit of the client's choice.

"We are extremely excited to partner with First Financial Bank and make this donation to the FreeStore FoodBank," said Dana Arrasmith, General Manager of DeanHouston Nashville. "There are so many businesses that still need an adequate supply of PPE. We're just happy to be doing our part to get these organizations the equipment they need to help keep people safe."

Recently, Exhibit Logistics (DeanHouston’s trade show division) has shifted its production capabilities to make it easier for DeanHouston clients to bulk order high-quality face masks, face shields and other PPE. The collective effort came from knowing many DeanHouston clients were deemed essential manufacturers but had trouble securing PPE.

Make a Good First Impression with Interior Branding

Posted by Bill Avery on May 28, 2020 5:14:58 PM

What kind of first impression does your office give to visitors, clients and employees? Is it a good representation of your brand? Does it reflect your company culture?

Whether you realize it or not, your business is itself a brand, and it's important that you separate your brand from the competition. For this reason, it's crucial that the identity and essence of your brand is present in everything you do, including throughout your office. After all, your brand personality can help your customers connect with your business while boosting employee productivity.

With COVID-19 business restrictions coming to an end, you may be in the process of redesigning your workspace to accommodate for things like social distancing. As you do, this is a great time to re-evaluate your interior branding and signage. You may find that it is lacking in one or a few ways that you hadn’t had time to notice before.

While internal branding can take many forms, some of the easiest ways to upgrade your workspace is by using office graphics, wayfinders and wall wraps. Other tips to make your office stand out include:

Protection On The Frontlines: COVID-19 Face Shields

Posted by Ryan Blackburn on Apr 20, 2020 5:10:18 PM

In an effort to support the medical and manufacturing community, DeanHouston and Exhibit Logistics (DeanHouston’s trade show division) have shifted production, manufacturing and logistics capabilities to get frontline providers the PPE needed to help America fight against COVID-19. With decades of experience in custom event displays, our team of craftsmen have acquired the supplies and engineered the processes needed to manufacture CDC-compliant face shields in a safe, sanitary and reliable manner.

The face shields are designed to provide additional protection for those who are working in close proximity to one another. Constructed using lightweight materials approved by the Food and Drug Administration, the face shields provide maximum facial coverage (from forehead to below the neckline) without sacrificing wearer visibility or impeding communication. Additional features include:

  • Forehead guard with thin-gauge, flexible PVC outer shell and soft-foam insert
  • Back of head strap with one-size-fits-all adjustable Velcro design for long wear and maximum comfort
  • Assembled using CDC-compliant process in private facility
  • CDC-Compliant COVID-19 Face Shields

As a way to do more, for every ten shields we produce for a client, DeanHouston will donate one shield to those caring for others or in need: i.e. healthcare organizations, nurses, care-givers, nursing homes and retirement communities.

Partners in Protection: DH+ Ramps Up COVID-19 Mask Production

Posted by Ryan Blackburn on Apr 13, 2020 7:04:31 PM

DeanHouston is taking matters into our own sanitized hands, helping to slow the spread of COVID-19 by producing washable face masks and face shields in-house for our clients, their employees and other organizations where people have frontline exposure to the public.

The decision to manufacture face masks and face shields follows new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines recommending the use of face coverings in public areas. Recent studies have shown a significant portion of individuals with coronavirus can be asymptomatic, making the use of facial coverings in settings where social distancing measures are difficult to maintain necessary for controlling viral transmission.

To make it easier for our clients to bulk order these reusable protective masks, Exhibit Logistics (DeanHouston’s trade show division) converted its Impres 4320 direct to textile printer for full-scale production. The printer has the capacity to print up to 2,500 masks an hour. Together with our current sewing resources, DeanHouston can produce 1,000 finished masks per week.

“A large number of our clients have been deemed essential manufacturers, and we have come to learn that securing these masks has not been an easy task,” said Dale Dean, chief executive officer of DeanHouston. “We realized very quickly that with our industrial-sized digital printer and connections that we had the capacity to quickly mobilize and fulfill an emerging need to help keep people safe and help slow the spread of this global pandemic.”

Face shields can also be ordered to provide additional protection for those who are working in close proximity to one another. Constructed using lightweight materials approved by the Food and Drug Administration, the face shields provide maximum facial coverage (from forehead to below the neckline) without sacrificing wearer visibility or impeding communication. Additional features include:

  • Forehead guard with thin-gauge, flexible PVC outer shell and soft foam insert
  • Back of head strap with one-size-fits all adjustable Velcro design for long wear and maximum comfort
  • Assembled using CDC-compliant process in private facility
  • CDC-Compliant COVID-19 Face Shields

To learn more, view the DeanHouston Face Shield Flyer.

Face masks can be printed with your company logo or be customized to any desired theme or pattern with gender and age-appropriate designs available. Other features of these reusable masks include:

  • One-size-fits-all with flat elastic band designed to achieve a snug and comfortable fit over ears for all-day comfort and shift work
  • Breathable dual-barrier protection to lessen risk of exposure and distribution of airborne pathogens to comply with CDC best practices
  • Domestically produced, sewn and assembled in the USA (not supplied or manufactured overseas)
  • Quick turnaround for low-volume orders
  • Two styles available for insertion of filter media
  • Can be designed to match current work uniforms

To express our collective support and gratitude for health care workers, for every 10 masks DeanHouston produces, one mask will be donated (as designated by the purchaser) to those caring for others in need at hospitals, nursing homes, retirement communities or other health care facilities, with every order.
